Social Media sites ironically isolate humans and the needed natural interactions. Bad Idea! This will indoctrinate children at a very early stage. The social medium for children should be schools, playgrounds, community events, and other collective activities etc.
So legitimate question. If the social medium of children should be physical, why should adults be virtual? Or more generally why are adults who are supposed to be mature and capable of rational decision abandoning physical interaction for addictive social media?
Part of it is that children are highly suggestible. They're also still mentally developing and learning. Therefore, they are at risk of not developing proper social skills and are more likely to get addicted (possibly at the expense of physical activities). But your point is still valid and both of those things are, for sure, problems for adults too. One would hope that adults are, at least, less suggestible (hope, but in reality, it seems lots of adults are pretty gullible and suggestible too, at least in some things).
If the screens are visible to all and no one is attempting to hide them then there is no harm in passing a quick peek. However as proper etiquettes would dictate, it is not good manners to just stop and stare at someone's screens without letting them know or asking first.
Reading newspapers over someone's shoulder is frowned upon and is considered bad manners. You can apply the same analogy here as well. And use common sense in such conditions. Not all matters are binary.
In your case, you can purchase privacy overlay screens and apply them to your monitors if you don't feel comfortable sharing yours.
There are some range extending techniques and methodologies that are in the R&D stage which can help not just with EV Semis but cars as well. Since they are not backed by the elitist PayPal mafia, they don't want to look at it and completely ignore it.
Would love to beat them to the punch and just give the R&D plans and concepts to Chinese EV manufacturers. That should settle it.

A 5V/1A USB charger won't drain down a car battery for a very long time! It will take 48hours with an average car battery to completely drain it while sitting idle and not being recharged at all. And how long does it take for any smartphone to fully charge? SMH

Oh wow! My first code I ever wrote was on ZX Spectrum computer. What a jog down the memory lane to those good ol' days. Peek Poke GoTo GoSub Return. Took a stab at Z80 Assembly at that time but ended up playing Saboteur video game on ZX Spectrum+
My friend and I used to "transfer" video games across the city between our Sinclair Spectrums by plugging cassette players to the analog phone lines and then feeding the output directly to the computer data input/output jacks on the other end. We did the same with the programs and data we wrote to solve math problems. And this was in the early/mid 80's where we "invented" our own Internet/BBS system as a necessity.

Mine too. Our family moved house and that year we all shared a single present which was a 48k Spectrum, with a bundle of ten games. The tape-player didn't work, so my sisters lost interest - I read the (orange) manual from cover to cover instead.
I suspect I'd have gotten interested in coding eventually regardless, as most of my efforts were hacking games for infinite lives, but it was definitely my defining moment.
